After a pawsome nine week trail, we said a final farewell to our pack of Snowdogs at a special weekend of celebration at Gateshead Stadium.

Taking place from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th December, the Farewell Weekend saw over 10,000 people to the stadium to say their goodbyes. All 61 Snowdogs were on display, some on the track itself and others inside our winter wonderland themed marquee. Visitors came from across the region and beyond to say goodbye ad there was a brilliant atmosphere as everyone took their final #snowfies and visited their favourites one last time.

The event was opened by Steve Colman from Smooth Radio who chatted to visitors and Tyne Tees and BBC Look North News filmed the event for the local news programmes. Despite the chilly weather, there was a huge turnout, which goes to show how pawpular our pack has been!

As well as the Snowdogs, event-goers could visit our Christmas Market which was packed full of festive goodies. Our Snowdogs merchandise stall proved to be pawticularly popular, and eager shoppers snapped up figurines, mugs, cuddly Snowdogs and our hot off the press souvenir guide.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended our Farewell Weekend.
